I NEED Surgery

I had my HSG done yesterday and my doc told me (and showed me) that I have a tumor (he was not sure at that moment if it was a fibroid or a polyp) that is occupying 2/3 of my uterus... so I NEED surgery.... he said they don't need to cut me open, and that they can do it as an outpatient procedure... but my question is: has anyone has gone through this... help me, I have to say I am a bit scared...

i have not had this done.. but It sort of sound like how they would do a DNC.. dont know if you have had that done. My mother had that done after she had me. 30 years ago.. LOL But it is a bit painful! I would prepare for a day of sitting on the couch watching TV or a Day of sleep in bed. I am sure they would give you something for pain afterwards. I had 3 lumps removed from my breast.. Now that is something I can really help if anyone has that done. :) Hope all goes well.. And My prayers are with you thru this whole thing!!

thanks!!!! so what happen to your lumps? My mum had two removed at the beginning of this year, pre-cancerous.

Nothing. So far. I was 19 when I had surgery. They were growing at such a fast rate that the Dr. Wanted to get them out. They were suspicious cells and He told me they could have turned cancerous. It was scary for me being that young tho.. And being all worried ow big I was in that area anyway and then they were going to take stuff OUT????!!!! LOL I am just fine now. Hope your mother recovered well. Us Women can be so complicated... LOL
